Pacific is a alt pop rock solo act from Nashville, TN started by Will Hunter.
The group began in 2018 when frontman Will released a solo EP under the name Pacific. Pacific became a band from 2018 to 2022 when Will decided to take the project solo in 2023 as it was at the beginning and chase a new sound. The band toured the southeastern part of the US growing a grass roots following before the release of their new singles, including the whimsical love anthem WYAF, at the beginning of 2019.
In 2020, they released their beach-inspired EP “i love you, i’m sorry” with tracks “never in love” and “the right guy” becoming a quick fan favorite while the touring world lay dormant throughout COVID.
Pacific has played over 100 shows and toured extensively throughout the US, including sharing the stage with acts like Surfaces, Dayglow, Sunroom and American Authors.
In 2024, Pacific will be releasing new music from the long-awaited first album with songs inspired by love and heartbreak with a synth pop inspired, anthem rock sound throughout.
Pacific has been compared to rising alternative bands like LANY, The 1975, and the band CAMINO, but won’t put a cap on what they are inspired by, drawing influence from an array of artists like Coldplay, Switchfoot, and Thirty Seconds to Mars, as well as having grown up saturated in the pop punk era of the early 2000s. They are the perfect blend of your favorite nostalgia bands and modern indie pop. Pacific is about establishing a real connection with people through music and hopes to be a voice of light and togetherness in a world that often seems dark and lonely. They hope to bring people together and play a small role in making the world more beautiful.
